Balancing Systems
Our SBS product lines provide time saving, low cost, extremely accurate dynamic balancing solutions for today's most demanding machine shop grinding environments. Our technology improves grinding wheel balancing to an accuracy that is unmatched with any other method. Further, our products systems do this in seconds!

Customers are provided with a complete engineered system for their particular model grinder, often from our stock of hundreds of existing solutions. Schmitt manufactures and sells the Hydrokompenser, internal balancers, and ring balancers, as a complement to the SBS external balancer product line. The depth of alternatives this brings to our customers, means that Schmitt can always offer the best solution to the dynamic balancing needs of the marketplace.

Measurement Services
SMS also provides measuring services for those customers not wishing to purchase the equipment themselves. Our measurement services department provides light scatter and surface roughness measurements using the world's most advanced and accurate light scatter instrument, the SMS CASI® Scatterometer.

Measurement Systems
Our SMS Division produces the world's most accurate laser based, non-contact, surface and alignment, texture and measuring solutions. From silicon wafers, to hard drive disks, to precision alignment, and more - SMS can provide you the tools and the equipment for most any hi-tech quality assurance need. The Acuity brand of laser measuring sensors are accurate devices for dimensional measurement.
