Portland, Oregon – Schmitt Industries, Inc. announced today that Mr. Michael McAfee has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer effective immediately.

Before joining Schmitt Industries, Inc. Mr. McAfee was associated with Oregon Rail Holdings, a cruise and railtour company, first serving as its Chief Financial Officer from 1997 until 2000 and then as a management consultant and as a member of its board of directors and its executive committee from 2000 until joining Schmitt. From 2000 until 2003, Mr. McAfee also worked as a financial and operations consultant for other companies. From 1982 through 1989 Mr. McAfee worked for Arthur Andersen and Company as Senior Manager – Accounting and Audit Division. Mr. McAfee received a BBA degree in Accounting from Boise State University and is a certified public accountant, inactive status, in Oregon and Idaho.
